Email scams & cyber fraud
Criminals are targeting businesses including law practices and their clients via email scams and cyber attacks. These can take a variety of forms including impersonating others using email or sending malicious software via emails, usually in links or attachments. Business email compromise is becoming increasingly common.
If you receive any request for funds or payment via email that appears to be from us you should telephone us to verify the email is genuine.
Our trust account will never change during the course of a transaction.
If you believe you have been sent a scam invoice or have been the target of any other online fraud, report the incident as soon as possible to your bank and the Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network (ACORN).
